What’s included when I buy my pass?
Coach transport and services of your Driver Guide including commentary. Optional activities may be included in your pass price.
Will there be a seat for me?
If you confirm 24 hours before departure you have the best chance of being guaranteed a seat. You can book anytime but the more notice the better chance you have of getting your seat guaranteed. In peak seasons it pays to plan a little bit ahead because it is busy!
Can I change my departure dates?
You can change your departure dates if you provide 24 hours notice. To change your departure date just contact the Travel HeadFirst office by phoning (03) 477 9083, faxing (03) 477 9009 or emailing bookings@travelheadfirst.com.
What should I bring?
Sunscreen (SPF30), water, credit card, walking shoes, coat and camera.
If you are doing a blackwater rafting trip add swimwear and a towel. Make sure you have seasonal clothing. We do not recommend you bring valuables ( jewellery, passport etc )
Do I need to book activities before I start my trip?
It definitely pays to book ahead to secure your place. Your Driver Guide can help organise your activities. When you book through Waitomo Wanderer, you will get a discount on most activities saving you a lot of well earned money.
What age limits are there?

Black Abyss day trip
Minimum age 16 years old, minimum weight 45kg.
Black Labyrinth day trip
Minimum age 12 years old, minimum weight 45kg
