Boasting many relics of old like Larnach Castle, Olveston House, The First Church or The Railway Station – there is plenty to explore in our unique place.

The Otago Peninsular still has many of the wildlife it was blessed to have had hundreds of years ago and our conservation efforts haven’t gone unnoticed with many species having been saved from extinction. Whether it is Penguins, Albatross, Sea Lions, native sea birds, our flightless birds and much more – Dunedin is the best place to see them all in their natural habitat.

Otago is also the student capital of New Zealand home of the “Scarfies” that bring flair and bustle to our city. A lot of great research has come out of the Otago University and they have world class facilities to complete world changing work.

Dunedin is a bustling city with an exciting nightlife. Whether it is a meal and drink in the Octagon – Dunedin’s entertainment hub or seeing a show at the Regent Theatre. If watching sport is more your thing, plenty of sporting events take place in our under cover Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Check out the DunedinNZ website for more information on upcoming Events in the area.
